Certain foods provide your body with nutrients that keep your organs healthy. Organic foods provide the cleanest version of healthy foods, keeping the organs clean and free from the effects of toxins because they do not contain synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, artificial additives and trans fats. Additionally, they are not grown with seeds that are genetically modified.

Raw garlic contains potent antioxidants and antimicrobial properties. The “Journal of Nutrition” states that raw garlic has a powerful effect on preventing or possibly treating stomach cancer. It also plays a role in protecting the lungs from disease. Eating raw garlic or blending it to create a water-garlic enema has been known to remedy parasites in your colon.

Acai berries contain one of the highest amounts of antioxidants in a whole food, according to Oprah.com. The berry's healthy monounsaturated fats, dietary fiber and phytosterols keep your cardiovascular and digestive organs healthy.

Eating dark, bitter greens like raw dandelion greens can assist in making your liver clean and healthy. One of the greens that is healthiest for your colon is wheatgrass. It has been used to prevent and cure colon cancer at the Ann Wigmore Institute. People typically juice it in a juicer or order an ounce or two of it at the juice bar at health food stores. Check with your doctor before using wheatgrass for colon cancer.

In the book “Health Professional's Guide to Dietary Supplements,” the American Dietetic Association validates the effectiveness of flaxseed oil and ground flaxseed in healing or preventing illness of the prostate and heart. The omega-3 essential fatty acids are also known to assist with brain function and health.

Whole-grain flour that is made into breads and pastas is important for the digestive system and heart. It provides your body with dietary fiber that assists in moving food through your intestines properly, keeping them clean. It also helps to absorb and eliminate excess fats, keeping your heart healthy. It provides your body with vitamin E, which helps prevent coronary heart disease.

Hot peppers are nutritious and contain twice the amount of vitamin C that citrus fruits have. Oprah.com reports that they are healthy for your heart and digestive system, along with having anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
